Session Types

Participants in the 2018 Conference will be able to select from three different session types. Additionally, NCLCA has entered into an agreement with Innovative Educators to livestream four of the concurrent sessions for the benefit of those who are unable to attend conference.

Concurrent Sessions

  • Presentation covers a full period (50 minutes)
  • Provide research and/or data
  • Provide information that can be used to guide long-term planning
  • Provide information which may be theoretical in nature
  • Provide information that may be general in nature
  • Presentation may be live streamed to participants online
  • Bottom line: The participants leave with information that may be used to guide action


Mini-engagement sessions

  • Engage with the audience for a shorter period of time (30 minutes)
  • Provide activities that are immediately transferable for training, workshops, etc.
  • Bottom line: Participants leave the session with all the information they need to put the idea into action

  • Digital Poster Sessions

    • Presenter is available for a full period (50 minutes)
    • Engage with the audience for a shorter period of time (approximately 15-20 minutes)
    • Audience is free to rotate between the rooms to view other digital poster sessions
    • Uses graphics to illustrate dynamic research
    • Bottom line: Participants gain insights that may lead to additional research or action
