Jacqueline harris


Jackie was an elementary school teacher, worked as a reading consultant for the Indiana Department of Education, and taught teacher preparation courses at Anderson University, Ball State University, and Indiana Wesleyan University.  For 25 years, she was a coordinator in Ball State’s Learning Center.  She supervised tutoring and served as the coordinator of academic services for students with disabilities.

Her professional service is lengthy and includes being President of the Indiana Association for Developmental Education and President of the National College Learning Center Association. She has made more than 50 presentations and published 25 professional articles. Upon retiring from Ball State, she worked for Purdue University in the Military Families Research Institute as the Postsecondary Outreach Specialist. She continues to be involved professionally in NCLCA by serving as chair of the Learning Center Leadership Certification committee.
